Spring News
Hello Farm Friends,
How is you can dislike "change" yet impatiently await for a season to come?
We are truly seeing signs of spring and thanks to a nifty new camera, I can show you some of them around our farm! Stay tuned.
Introducing Cocoa and Tina K
We have wanted to introduce other heritage breeds of pork to our farm. Last week, we traveled to northern Arkansas and acquired two Tamworth-cross bred gilts. Their litters will be 3/4 Tamworth. They are large, gentle and loving the mud! Pictures will be coming soon. One mother-to-be is due on April 1st. No Foolin' !!!
Back to School
Andy will be going to the Stockman Grassfarmer's "High Gain Stocker/Finishing School" in Irving, Texas. He will be attending April 2-4. This is the first conference/school he has been able to attend. We have tremendously high expectations! There are other conferences we have had to pass up, so this is truly a blessing. Please keep Ben, Matti and I in your prayers as we will be attempting to do all Andy does!!
Farm Day
There have been many of you that have expressed an interest in touring the Farm. Finally, it's here. Saturday, April 11 will be our First Farm Day. The event is still in it's planning stages so stay tuned. I will send out another email soon with details of the day, what to expect and directions!! Please email me if you are interested in attending, this could determine some of the details!
Market Schedule
We will be returning to the Farmer's Markets in May. I will have 100 % grassfed ground beef, lamb, and goat. I will have fresh, pastured pork. (Beef retail cuts (steaks, roasts, etc.) will come later in late spring, early summer!)
I will be returning to the Gateway Farmer's Market in Texarkana, Arkansas, on May 2. I will be attending that market on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
I will be returning to the Polk County Farmer's Market in Mena, Arkansas on May 7. I will be attending this market each Thursday.
I will be starting at a brand new market in DeQueen, Arkansas beginning May 6. It is Produce in the Park. I will be attending this market on Wednesdays.
Be a blessing; be blessed, Tracy
