Andy, this is Bobbie Tadlock Morgan, I have been looking over your website truthfully I'm amazed. I was wondering what you feed your cattle over the winter months? I seen rolled sod grasses but I didn't know if that was the answer to my question or not.

Hello Bobby, great to hear from you! The rolled sod (fodder, sprouted barley) is for the pigs. Our beef and dairy cattle are fed hay only in the winter. We manage our pastures with high density grazing and have had grasses stockpiled the last two years that have lasted thru to February. This past year with the drought our grasses lasted till December. This type of grazing does a lot to control worms and parasites as well.
